Poetry Wednesday – Cleo and the Chickadees by Mila

Five-Little-Chickadees

Chickadees flit from branch to branch
in a feather flutter dance.
Unaware that eyes are watching,
Unaware a cat is stalking.

On silky paws she gently pads,
She crouches low,
Close to the ground,
The chickadees don’t hear a sound.

And suddenly!
She springs up
High!
The chickadees scatter.

All but one
Nom nom,
Nom.
